Created around New Year’s 2012, The Tree Between Timelines emerged during a moment when the world seemed suspended between an ending and an unknown beginning. The year carried the mythology of a coming shift—a crossing from one state of consciousness into another—and Everflow translated that feeling into movement, shadow, and color.

At the center stands a dark tree, its branches stretching across the canvas like pathways through time. Birds gather within and around it—some resting, some watching, others appearing ready to take flight. They become witnesses at the threshold, carrying memory from the world that was into the world still forming.

Beneath the black and gray turbulence, flashes of yellow, red, orange, green, and turquoise break through like signals from another frequency. Darkness is present, but it is not death. It is the fertile shadow: the place where one cycle dissolves before the next reveals itself.

As an early work from the first generation of Liquid Sound Design, the painting captures Everflow’s emerging language of rhythm, vibration, and uncontrolled movement. The paint does not merely describe a tree—it creates a living field around it. The tree becomes a bridge, its roots anchored in one reality while its branches reach toward another.

The Tree Between Timelines is a portrait of the moment before transformation—the still point where memory, uncertainty, and possibility gather together, waiting for the courage to cross.
